Between movies and television, sommeliers are in the spotlight like never before. These professionals sample an endless variety of wines throughout their careers, and as intoxicating as that sounds, there is a sober (relatively) and objective method as to how they assess all those wines behind the scenes. Ray's Wine & Spirits Director Nate Norfolk is a Certified Sommelier, and he will demonstrate how the Court of Master Sommeliers taste wines blind, and how sommeliers break down the characteristics of every different wine they sample. We will taste eight wines in this class, each from a Classic wine region including Bordeaux, Napa Valley, Tuscany, and Burgundy.
