An Evening with the Gamba Family: Sonoma's Cult Zinfandel Pioneers (Seating 2)

The Gamba family has been growing grapes on their estate vineyard in Sonoma’s fabled Russian River Valley since 1900. After a century of selling their grapes to others, the family opened their own winery in 2000 and within a few short years were gathering amazing accolades for their hedonistic Zinfandel-based red wines, all while practicing rainwater irrigation and organic farming to boot.

Famed critic Robert Parker once wrote in Wine Advocate magazine, "Gamba's name is going to have to be included with some of the stars of Sonoma..." and here at Ray’s, we are in complete agreement. If you love rich and full-bodied red wines, the Gamba’s are among the best coming out of California.

We are extremely excited to welcome four members of the Gamba Family, Gus, Paulette, Cecily, and Augie to Ray’s event space for a special tasting of their Gamba, Etrusca, and Soli (new, incredibly small production project created by Augie) selections. The Gambas will walk us through the history and unique qualities of their estate winery. Gus and Paulette will host the Tuesday tasting and their children Cecily and Augie will host the Thursday tasting. On both nights we will sample the following wines:
